Showing Up Un-afraid…

We are so excited to share today’s style shoot on the beach with you! Introducing Brian and Lindsy who are from Houston, Texas. The most impressive part about them (in my opinion) was there level of energy and adventurous spirit during the shoot! They were up for anything and not afraid to show a little PDA! We absolutely love that in a couple because it makes things so much more fun and makes posing so much easier. Also, must give an individual shout out to Lindsy, mother of two 6 months old TWINS, she looks AMAZING! I may have to ask her the secret and write about that one of these weeks.

For this session, we wanted to get away from Dallas scenery, which is always beautiful, and do something a little bit different. Soo for many reasons we chose the beach as our back drop! Galveston here we come! There is something special about photography on a beach that really is hard to describe. The water is calming, the breeze is refreshing, and it gives such an exhilarating feeling that glows through the camera!

Beauty in the Midst of a Mess

On this occasion conditions were not exactly ideal, there is always a challenge to overcome and honestly, we love it! A little peak behind the curtain that is our lives. We had gotten to the beach about 4 hours early to scope out a good location and let our kids experience it for the first time. Which if you are a parent is beyond gratifying watching your children see the ocean for the first time.

However, we did experience some bumps in the road. I broke the canopy my mother in law brought for us and the kids to enjoy the cool shade…oops. Man card violation. Also, our almost 3 year old Everly may have wandered down the beach (floaties on) for about 1 min while we were trying to fix the canopy and clean up. No judging please… life happens to us all and apparently, she loves chasing seagulls. So needless to say, by the time it came time to taking the pictures, we had made a day off it lol!! It was crazy, we went from happy proud parent moment watching our kids play in the water to ALL the heart pounding fears of what ifs. Oh the highs and lows of life…haha.

A Crazy Windy Evening turned into Heavenly Ethereal Photos!!

Back to the weather, in this case the wind was very harsh, some of the canopies on the beach had blown over and the waves were very choppy. But as I said before we love a challenge and used the tools we have learned over time to minimize the conditions and embrace the environment! Brian and Lindsy were great, they even got into the water which just inspired us even more to capture the moment.

Brian and Lindsy, we are honored to have had the opportunity to take your pictures. I cannot honestly remember a day that had so many emotions wrapped into it. Our hope is that these pictures will be enjoyed for years to come. Thank you for letting us into your lives. You two are truly great friends.
