Doing Life: Rosebrock Wedding

This last weekend we had the honor of being part of William & Sarah Rosebrock’s wedding day! I may have said it before, but it always rings true. April and I’s favorite events are weddings because there is no greater form of flattery for a photographer than to have the opportunity to capture and document one of the most important days of their lives.

For a late November day, the weather was perfect. The kind of fall day that starts cool, the sun gets to full peak, dry’s off the morning dew and warms the day. We arrived at One Preston Event, a beautiful white barn style venue with classic style chapel that Sarah and Will picked out for their wedding. We were immediately met by the bride’s mother Rhonda, who greeted us warmly and though busy with the day’s events, took the time to point us in the right direction of the groom and bride. She welcomed us with open arms and I would like to say a special thank you to Rhonda as well. Being a photographer herself I am sure it was worrying sitting by and watching others take pictures of her loved ones on their special day. Especially her daughter! She was more than supportive and even lit a sparkler before the exit as a trial run for us before the big exit. Thank you so much, Rhonda.

It’s Almost time….

Sarah and the girls were getting ready in the upstairs loft room that was perfect for the Bridal Party. A beautiful white lit up mirror that illuminated the room and everyone in it. This space was designed to give these girls a chance to celebrate Sarah and enjoy each others friendship. The photos tell the story!!

Will and the groomsmen were outside in a silver silo that has a room for the gents to get prepared in. Will was a true gentleman. From the moment I introduced myself he wanted to make sure I was welcomed and make sure they his party stuck to the timeline we had provided to the best of their abilities. This is actually pretty rare so kudos Will!!

We had not met up with Will and Sarah before their wedding but it is amazing how just one day can tell us so much about people’s character. Both of these guys had hearts full of love for each other and for the families that attended. They made the day fun, easy and full of life while celebrating each other and their commitment to one another! They were kind to both of us, encouraging and so easy to work with! Both were open to trying any pose we had for them, which we love. There is no doubt they are going to succeed as both are beyond polite and accommodating. A little shout out to Will, who was resourceful with the rings when in a bind. 😉 A little secret between us.
