Morning Wedding in the Woods

This last weekend we packed our bags, kiddos, and selves, and jumped in the car. We were headed for Jennilee and Jacobs wedding in North Houston at The Chapel in the Woods. You may remember Jennilee and Jacob from their engagement shoot a month ago, read how they met by clicking here! Well it was finally time for their wedding day! All of our weddings are special to us because it is such a high honor to be able to serve our couples during such an important event. Being friends with the bride for over 15 years, this one was certainly no different. Even though it had been over 10 years and we had moved a few cities apart, for this one day, we got to be back in our friend’s life and for such a special day!

Reminiscing…

On our drive down to Houston, April took time to reminisce on how Jennilee’s family, the Brewers, had been such an inspiration to her. How in her eyes, they really were a great example of a family that loved each other and had fun together. Only knowing Jacob for a few weeks, since the engagement session and dinner, it was so easy seeing him for her. He had such a light heart and giving personality as she does. I remember during the toasts Jacobs best man talked about how Jacob, who loves people slightly more than cars, would always drop anything to help him fix or fix up his 4 wheeler, truck, jeep, bus…….LOL they are definitely enthusiasts!

More than Just a Beautiful Couple

Then Jacobs’s sister gave a toast, as warm tears of joy slowly made their way down her cheek she said something that I thought to be possibly the highest compliment a person could give. She said amidst her heartfelt speech, “Jennilee waters those around her”. For a moment I had to pause and stop photographing just to think about what she had said. How many of us can say we have a friend that is so special that he or she takes time to make sure we grow as people. Wow!

Jacob and Jennilee, it was our highest honor to be able to serve you. Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your lives on your wedding day. Jacob, seeing the joy in your eyes as Jenni walked down the aisle will be something we do not soon forget. Jenni, one of our new goals in life is to “water those around us” as you do. We wish you nothing but the best in lives journey. May your love for one another always be full!
