The Happy Couple

This weekend we had the pleasure of getting to know our happy couple Laura and Alex a little better while snapping some beautiful engagement pictures of them and their little fur baby Harley! With all that has been going on lately with the world, it was more than a pleasure really, it was a blessing! Mark Twain once said, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life”.

Sunday night we were truly inspired by love. A few months back when we met up with Alex and Laura we would have all never guessed what state the world would be in right now. All the events that are going on have parks shut down, restaurants closed, and a lot of people living in fear. This is why we are so glad we get to do what we do.  April and I truly are seeing that love is above all in these uncertain times.

Inspired by Love

Sunday night when Laura and Alex showed up to their engagement session, they were not focused on the present and what might currently be transpiring. The main topic of the night was joy, love, and a couple that was relishing some of the best moments of their lives.

Just watching them stare at each other through our lenses made everything else fade. Laura was not thinking about the economy or what difficulties tomorrow may bring when deeply staring into Alex’s soft eyes. She was simply blinded by her love for him. Alex was not adding up all the toilet paper roles in his mind, he was transfixed purely on the beauty of the woman he is going to spend the rest of his life with. The wedding vow goes, ‘for better or worse’ and though many of us may be focused on something worse right now I want to offer some encouragement that I received from observing a young couple in love. 1 Corinthians 4-8 “⁴Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ⁶Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. ⁷It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. ⁸Love never fails. . .” All we need is love everyone. Focus on love and you will be full of joy.

Laura and Alex, Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of a special time your life this weekend. We had so much fun with both of you and are excited to be their when you both begin a new chapter in your lives together. Until then…….thank you for the inspiration.

Ps. Give Harley an extra treat for us today. He’s so cute he deserves it!
