A couple weeks ago we had the pleasure of serving Alex and Laura on their Wedding day! Though we are going through some crazy times, you would not have known it. Throughout the entirety of the day, these two were filled with joy and laughter. Here are a couple of special moments we enjoyed.

Fun with the Bridal Party (April’s Favorite moment)

As I photographed the girls getting ready, I noticed a huge bed in the room. I mentioned to the girls it might make a fun shot. I did not have to tell them twice! Ideas were all over the place! We could pop a bottle of champagne on it, or confetti, the possibilities seemed endless lol! We settled on rose petals. Each bridesmaid was bursting with excitement as I put them in position. I assigned each person a number and told them, “When I call your number throw the flowers!” It was so much fun! Each girl did their part perfectly! Laura’s bridesmaids were the best cheer squad a girl could ask for! Watching them in that moment filled my heart with joy.

First Look with Father of the Bride (Our Favorite Moment)

“She’s coming out now” April said. The doors from the bridal suite opened and there was Laura. As she walked toward the banister of the long elegant stair case, her beautiful white wedding dress flowed behind her. Laura reached the banister, then stopped, looked down at the man she had spent the first chapter of her life with. As she looked down in admiration, Kevin could already sense her presence. Just the thought of seeing his daughter made him well up with tears. A few moments passed as she made her way towards him, then she reached out her hand she gracefully tapped him on the shoulder. The joy in both their eyes brought smiles to both our faces.

Best Man Speech (Jason’s Favorite Moment)

As Connor grasped the mic, he nervously chuckled, “I’m not good at this” he said. But he really was, he did what all best men should do, speak from the heart. Connor talked about how he and Alex had been best friends since they were very young, like before the third grade young! He talked about how Alex would help him with his homework and do his reading lol! How Alex was the life of the party on their cruise ship bachelor party. Then, Connors voice began to shake as he said the one thing he liked most about Alex, “He was always there for me.” If time is our most precious commodity, then having a friend like Alex is a true blessing.

Laura and Alex, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day! Capturing your special moments with our lenses is something we won’t soon forget! Both you and your family were such a blessing! Even when Jason asked your father Kevin to shine Alex’s shoes for a funny pic, he was such a good sport lol! Special thanks to Kevin, you sir are a true gentlemen! We hope you two will continue to make countless special memories as you travel through lives great journey. We also hope the memories we captured will bring you joy, every time you have the opportunity to look at them.
