The Fairytale Wedding

The warm sun rays were beaming down on us! The temperature had climbed right up to the mid 60’s and was camping there, a perfect day for a wedding at Prestonwood Baptist Church! Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of capturing Jonathan and Kelley’s big day with our cameras! What an affair! From big hearts, beautiful people, and lots of them, it was so much fun! April and I both couldn’t help but talk about our favorite moments in the car ride home. Here they are!

Jason’s Favorite

We had just arrived to Kelley’s parents’ house for detail and getting ready pictures. Kelley and her mother Kathy, greeted us at the door with the biggest smiles I have seen in awhile! The kind of genuine beams that instantly makes anyone feel welcome! We had no sooner gotten in the door when they were asking us what they could do for us!

Then, after getting our gear setup, we went around and introduced ourselves to the family. It was very apparent where Kelley gets her sparkling personality from! I do not think I have been treated so kindly and given so many compliments in such a little amount of time in my life! They say positive reinforcement is a great motivator and I tell you what, it worked wonders on me! Smiling, laughing, and doing life with Kelley’s family while getting ready for her wedding was my favorite part about the day! I felt blessed just to be a part of it!

April’s Favorite

I always feel that every bride should be treated like a princess on her wedding day! Well Jonathan did just that for Kelley! He had kept the grand exit a big surprise from her, but we knew what coming! Jonathan had arranged for a horse drawn carriage to gallop them away on their big day! As we stood outside with the crowd I could see the carriage approaching. There was a coach woman adorned in a black top hat, a large white stallion, and a white carriage with a heart for a window! It was something right out of Cinderella! I turned back to look through the crowd as Kelley and Jonathan opened the chapel doors. The look on Kelley’s face is something I will not soon forget! The expression of shock, awe, amazement, excitement, joy, happiness, delight, pleasure……..ALL OF THE THINGS! Seeing her face in that moment, that was my favorite part of the day!

Kelley and Jonathan, thank you so much for letting us be there for you on one of the biggest days of your life! Watching you both through our lenses was such a great experience. You both radiate a kindness that permeates the room wherever you go! We both hope that as your next chapter in life unfolds you will grow in the love God has meant for you and continue to spread His love to all those lucky enough to a part of your life!
