When looking back at all the photos I took this year the ones that stand out the most are the ones that gave us life!! Today I am doing a quick recap on some things we did in 2022 that we absolutely loved and would do again in a heart beat!!
- LOVECATION to VEGAS!! I wanted to do soemthing fun with Jason without kids this year! WE decided to go to Vegas to celebrate my 40th birthday. Between seeing Carrie Underwood live in concert and hiking Mt. Charleston we had a BLAST! Although I didn’t climb as high as I thought I could we still had fun haha. Jason was a beast though! Of course he had more experience so I have to give him that.
- Date nights with the kids! We started taking our kids out on date nights by themselves so we could get to know them on a whole new level! It is amazing what they will share with you if you just let them talk! On our last one on one dates, I took Everly to Mcdonald’s and on a girls shopping trip and Jason took Ayden to top golf! We want to be intentional with our kids so they know not only are we interested in who they are becoming but to teach them how they should be treated by people in the future. Whehter it be with the people they date or just their friends. We want the absolute best for them and who better to train them then us?
- Road trip to Florida with friends. We got to stay in an airbnb for almost a week with our best friends and their child. We had so much fun from morning walks to picnics on the beach. Of course we forgot how powerful that sun is when it comes to the beach but even with a little sun burn we loved every minute of it!
- Dance Lessons: After so many years of attending and shooting weddings we really never get a chance to dance at them. This year I was determined to learn so I talked Jason into going to a free lesson for our anniversary!! Of course I was hooked so we signed up for 7 lessons and Jason was very gracious in going with me haha. I LOVED it!! I feel so free and happy when I am dancing. Even though I am not good at it I don’t care. I just have so much fun doing it and it removes me from my current stress and situations I am struggling with. Highly recommend trying it if you have not already!
- Sticking with Baseball. Even though this year was it was kid pitch vs. coach pitch and at times it was painful to watch them lose we stuck with it. We figured it would teach Ayden just to keep pushing through even though things are not going well. To see what he could get better at and learn from for next year.
Here are a few photos from this year!! Hope you enjoy the sneak peeks behind the scenes of our lives in 2022. We would love to hear something about your year as well. We are always inspired by our readers. Please leave us a comment on one of your favorite things you did this year? What would you want to do again next year?
