Volleyball Court Surprise!
I breathed in deep as I walked up to the sand volleyball court on this windy Friday evening. I shook hands with my new friend Jessica who had planned such a lovely event for the bride to be, her little sister. As an outsider looking in I could not help but appreciate her love and effort to make her baby sister feel so special this happy evening. I just wanted to hug her like I would my own sister, because aren’t they just the best?
As the family and friends were setting up the scene you could feel the emotion! Everyone was filled with anticipation and excitement. I myself even felt the jittery giggles on what was about to unfold RIGHT in front of me. As I learned more about their story I was in awe of the genuine love of this couple and their story. They had met two years ago on this exact volleyball court in which I was standing on. They fell in love and have been inseparable ever since.
The Proposal
After waiting for what seemed like hours the happy couple finally arrived! As I watched him open the car door for her it was as if time stood still. Everything paused. Her life was about to be changed forever. It wasn’t the comedy club she thought she was going to. It was a night she would remember forever. The night he would ask her the most important question she would ever hear. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me?”
As he led her down to the volleyball court you saw the emotional responses on her face. She was filled with awe. She was filled with joy. She was filled with an answer she already had in her mind to his question. As he bravely pulled out the precious diamond he asked her that question.
She. Said. YES.
As everyone came to congratulate the happy couple I was amazed at the love in this family. Everyone was filled with tears. They made me cry too, haha. I am so excited for the bride and groom to be. The BEST is yet to come for this happy couple. Please join me in congratulating them on their exciting adventure to come!!
