Why I Love Apple Cider Vinegar

Believe me I was a skeptic too and I know it doesn’t sound very tasty when you think about downing vinegar but my body has told me otherwise…she absolutely loves it. When there are so many medicine options out there for healing a cough or a cold I am always looking for a home remedy first that will actually heal instead of mask symptoms. I have found that apple cider vinegar (you may have heard it as ACR) does the trick for my sore throat, cough and/or a cold. I mean within a day or so I start to feel better….seriously it is MAGIC!

According to online buzz, this ancient remedy gives a boost in energy, reduces inflammation, promotes weight loss, and relieves everything from arthritis to leg cramps. Some people even claim it does pretty much everything except solve our country’s current political woes. While there are many bonuses to apple cider vinegar like weight loss and digestion/prevention, I mainly just use it for clearing up a pesty cold that will not go away.

You can purchase Apple Cider Vinegar for like $6 at Walmart but make sure you buy the raw and unfiltered one so you get all the benefits from it. I personally always buy Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar so I can get all the good stuff to help heal my colds.  Make sure you shake it up so you can get all the goodies from the bottom in your shot.

 

Here is my personal recipe I use to clear up a cough or cold I have been fighting.

Apple Cider Vinegar Shot

2 Tbsp of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar

3 oz of grape juice

1 tbsp of honey

1 drop of lemon essential oil

1 pinch of cayenne

1 pinch of cinnamon

That is it!! I down it as fast as possible because it does not taste great! A tip if you are anything like me and your stomach is sensitive to the acidity. I simply take a tums afterwards and this has helped me balance everything out if I start to feel weird.
