True Love’s First Kiss

The sun glistened through the trees, bringing a welcome warmth to an already perfect fall day. Devin and Jon stood there in front of a crowd of family and friends. As the minister began the ceremony the two gazed into one another’s eyes with a passionate, but playful love. A proud look creeped across Jon’s face as Devin shared her vows. No doubt, he had to be reminiscing all the fun times they had already shared. All the moments in life that had led to this one pure, joyous occasion. As Jon began to read his vows, tears slowly began to run down his cheeks. Though some had said he was too picky, he had waited, trusting God to bring along the perfect woman. Now the moment was finally here. After the two finished, the minister said the familiar words that begin the next story in every single person’s life. “I know pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride”. I think in that moment everyone in attendance paused for just an instant. It was if they had entered a fairy tale. For in front of them, a young couple’s patience was finally coming to pass. “A match made in heaven” as Devin dad coined it, was unfolding. In that moment, as Jon and Devin kissed, everyone bore witness to what can only be described as true loves first kiss.

We did not know it was possible to be proud of someone we have only met a few times in life, until we had the opportunity to be there on your special day! Our hope for you is that you can always maintain the patience and effort you put into creating such a beautiful relationship. The bond you share is a blessed one and we feel lucky to be able to have been a part of it!
