“Home should be an anchor, a port in a storm, a refuge, a happy place in which to dwell, a place where we are loved and where we can love.”- Marvin J. Ashton
A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of serving Nathan and Amber on their wedding day! It was such a blessing! This blog started with a quote about family for a reason. There are times in life when you have the honor of being a part of someone else’s family. Even if it is just for a moment, like a wedding for example. Every wedding we shoot we really try and grow a relationship with the family. Why? Because people will always be more comfortable in front of the camera if they can slightly relate to the person taking the picture. Plus we just love people! For this family, we have had the pleasure of being there for three weddings! That’s right, three!
It started with Mercedes and Layton, then Mercedes’s sister Natalie invited us to her wedding with Austin. Then, Natalie’s sister Amber invited us to be a part of her special day with Nathan! Not going to lie, when Natalie asked us to be there for her wedding, our minds were officially blown! It is always such an honor when someone entrusts you to take their wedding pictures. But when you do it three times, we will just call that blessed!
It was a cloudy day when we arrived at Brighton Abbey in Aubrey Texas. Cloudy days are some of our favorites because then we are not constricted by harsh light where we can shoot. Upon arrival we were met with hugs, smiling faces, and just pure joy! No signs of stress or pre wedding jitters could be seen.
As the day transgressed the smiles turned to laughter and the joyfulness was in abundance. Our favorite part of the day was capturing Amber and Nathan as they shared their first moments together as a married couple. These two were incredible! Amber would make some of the funniest faces, that would get Nathan laughing, then they would seamlessly fall right into a pose! Between lifts, dips, carries, and bends, these two were game for everything!
Amber and Nathan, we are so thankful that you blessed us with the opportunity to capture your special day with our cameras. Thinking about you two both clad in white smiling from ear to ear, all day long, still brings a smile to our faces! You both truly have hearts of gold and families that will always be there for you! It was clear to us that you are meant for each other. We hope that you both will continue to always brings smiles to each other’s faces and to all those who do life with you! Congratulations on starting your new home, together!
Until we meet again,
Cheers!
