Engagement Session at Lake Cliff Park in Dallas

Lake Cliff Park

We arrived at Lake Cliff Park right at 7PM. The sun sets fully around 8:45PM these days so we knew we would have plenty of time to take advantage of golden hour. Marissa and Jared had picked the perfect place for an engagement session. There is just something about Lake Cliff Park we love. At first glance, it really does not look like much. But once you explore the area, there is so much character! Marissa said that it had both a “modern and classic feel.” We couldn’t agree more, the way the light comes piercing through the trees illuminates those in it. The fountains and walking paths give it so much charm. It really does offer so much for those looking for a variety of great places for pictures.

It had been months since we last met with Marissa and Jared. Though a lot in life had changed, they had not. Both were as inviting and polite as when we had last seen them. After exchanging welcomes we began the fun part, pictures! Marissa, having experience in photography herself naturally flowed into all the poses we had for her. Jared, with much less experience, according to him, must have gotten some pointers from Marissa, because he nailed it!

As we moved from location to location in the park, Marissa would give some suggestions occasionally about a pose she wanted to try. We are not sure how other photographers feel about their happy couples offering ideas, but we love it! Though we already have a ton of posing options, trying out new ideas is what fuels our passion for what we do.

We actually ended the night with one of her ideas that turned out beautifully!

You both were an absolute pleasure to photograph. Marissa your passion for photography was inspiring and only made us enjoy your company more. Both of you are such a wonderful couple and it really was fun being able to capture your love for each other with our cameras.
