One of our favorite parts about the wedding day is the drive home. Lol! I realized how that sounds but I have to go with it anyways! It is talking about our favorite highlights of the day, during the drive home. Every wedding has something uniquely different about it and we love swapping our favorite moments! We decided for this blog being the end of the year, we would share 3 of our favorite weddings of the year and a favorite moment from each.
Early in the year we had the opportunity to serve this special couple on their big day! I said we were going only post one moment from each, but this wedding calls for a two moment post!
As the music played slowly Owen handed his bride over to Zoe step father’s who grasped her hands. He smiled and looked into her eyes as they gently swayed back and forth during the daddy/daughter dance. Behind them on an easel, stood a picture of a proud father with his arm resting gently on his baby princess’s shoulder. As Zoe turned and looked at the picture tears began to well up in her eyes. Sensing her sadness, her stepfather pulled her closer in a warm, comforting embrace. In that moment, we could not help but think that Zoe’s father was looking down on his princess, beaming with pride and joy.
After Owen had finished getting ready he sat down in a rustic lounge chair. In his hands he grasped a notebook that had his name on the front written in gold glitter. As he began to read the letters on the pages he looked up and said, as if to read my mind wondering what the importance of the book was. “Zoe started writing in this book when we first began dating”, “She has never let me read it until just now”. I am normally not a big softy, but just thinking about the love they both must have shared and how special that book must be to him, got me!
Wow! Zoe and Owens wedding was so touching! For our next favorite, we had to lighten things up a bit. Enter Becky and Stetson. About midway through the year we drove out to Davis and Grey for this happy couple’s big event! From beginning to end it was filled with smiles, laughter, and fun! Throughout its entirety there were lots of moments we enjoyed. But the most memorable had to be their grand entrance. Not only was it because everyone could dance, but the best man and maid of honor swapped clothes beforehand! It was truly a sight to see!
Our final favorite of the year was shared with Olivia and Colten. They were both sharing a moment before the ceremony during their first touch. Seeing their genuine love and listening as Colten said a prayer for their relationship was beautiful in its very own unique way.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read some of our stories from the year. We know you could not have enjoyed them as much as we did, we got to live them! But we hope they still brought joy to your heart. Thanks so much for reading and we hope you have a very happy new year!!
Cheers!
