Wedding Day Arrival

It was a cold 36 degrees when we arrived at One Preston Events Venue in Gunter, Texas. It had been raining all day, the kind of rain that just makes you want to stay in bed. But not today. Today was Madison and Will’s wedding day! We had discussed how encouraging we would be to make sure they relished their big day. But then we met Madison and Will, turns out, we didn’t have to.

From the beginning it was all laughter and smiles. Madison was getting ready upstairs in One Preston’s beautiful and very large bridal suite. Will was in the groom’s room, which charmingly look like barn silos. As we took the getting ready pictures before the first look, it was fun watching the two, wondering how they would react when seeing each other for the first time.

First Look

Will had his back to the wall with one hand over his eyes as Madison slowly glided down the stairs. Then before looking, they shared a special moment together and exchanged vows. After the vows were finished, both paused for a moment, then turned the corner. Will gazed upon his beautiful bride and that moment, the strong, proud, rock, shared a tender moment with the woman he would spend the rest of his life. Amidst the laughter and tears we could not help but smile behind the cameras.

Fun in the Rain

After the ceremony it was time to take pictures of the happy couple as husband and wife. Still windy, rainy, and COLD! We touched base with them, to make sure they knew what they were getting into. Then something unexpected happened. The moment that we assumed might be the least joyful of the night was the moment we enjoyed the most! We laughed so much during those cold and freezing rain shots, I was not sure if the tears in my eyes were from the temperature or happiness for them!

Madison and Will, thank you so much for letting us be there to serve you on your wedding day! The determination you both made to be full of joy was inspirational! Watching you two through our lenses as you carried on with the events of the day was truly a blessing. Continue that determination throughout your relationship and you both will never be lacking in love. Until we next meet,
